Hi Diane! I have to say I love both of your lessons and your greenscreen and intro! I think? the 'cruddy cgi' is actually very creative! The way you teach is very unique to me and I have learned much more in under 10 minuets than I ever have with my intro to piano book! You make studying music at home much less mundane. Thank you so much! :)

@MillerMusicStudiosTV Hi Diane, I personally think that your lessons are done extremely well, no matter what your opening (CGI green screen) is. The important thing is the lesson. Do? you write any music yourself? Maybe you can create a piece to use for your intro instead of paying music rights to someone else. Perhaps that will inspire your students to create as well. Although, it might subject you to more harsh criticism... thanks for your time and the great lessons!!

@Ronniewants2die Hi Ronnie...ok - can you guys help me with exactly what you mean? If I am doing something that is detracting from the lesson I do want to fix it. Are you talking about the intro? that lasts 12 seconds? Are you talking about the green screen "room" that we project behind me at the beginning before the actual lessons begin? I paid $150 for the license rights to use the music at the beginning - I was likening it to old tv shows that had an intro each time -

I agree with? Marchinski. The CGI makes it look dated and out of touch with younger students. CGI is boring. It might be exciting for you to create but its boring to me and feels uninspired. Its just some stock graphic program right? Lessons are good.

@Marchinski47 Great ideas! I LOVE THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now I'm looking for a? dinosaur and a comet. Love, Di
By: Marchinski47. on 03 Oct 11, 14:01:20
@MillerMusicStudiosTV oh I agree those cute little pictures during the episode are great. particularly the one involving the camel during arabian nights. very funny. but the first 20 seconds with the the cgi just looks a little too cheap imo. If you're going to be ridiculous go all out and pretend you're riding a dinosaur or on a comet flying through space. ?

@Marchinski47 I get bored too easily - I like the "cruddy CGI" more. I actually have fun doing the zany things we do. A couch and plants? are just too mundane for me. Thanks anyway! Love, Diane

Dear Diane, I think your lessons are? brilliant but please for the love of god get rid of that CGI, its so unnecessary. I noticed that the intros are a completely different take from the actual lesson. So instead of doing some cruddy CGI, film the shot in a very comfortable place, like a couch with some plants, or a very pleasing natural place. Hope you follow my recommendation cause itd be awesome.

@Bern3432 Hi! That? is my plan - to make a series of piano lesson books with instructional DVD's because I have come up with some methods to teach reading music at the piano which are really making it easy for my private students. I'm trying to find the time to make the course. I hope you will check back with me in a couple of months. Love, Diane
