@davidanhdang I'm pretty sure that's not a digital piano. That's an upright piano (tends? to produce slightly less clear sound, but the keys still have a better feel than digital pianos.

I prefer Rowlf from the muppets. He could play legato and staccato and some fine tunes also. I don't Rowlf was amused with the Italian accent so much as here. Maybe if he had been he could have been the muppet piano expert.? The Swedish chef did a good Swedish accent. I bet he would have played a good staccato because he would have pretended that the keyboard was a chopping-board.

@gerardbedecarter Yeah I can see that. Surely the conductor has a broader perspective of the piece as a whole. Although I wouldn't be amazed if some pianists had their two cents to contribute as to how to interpret certain parts. I think one of them must have been Glenn Gould when he? played with Bernstein, but this is just a hunch of mine based strictly on Bernsteins' admiration and tolerance in regards to the controversial personality that Gould was.

Horowitz had, in his time, performed under many famous conductors and he said [in one of his interviews] [and relying on my recollection] to the effect that it's the conductor who decides the interpretation and tempos. I think that this is something always to bear in mind, especially in works that are very difficult for both piano and orchestra such as the Rachmaninoff concertos.

Jorge Bolet is simply the best pianist of the 20th century, has always been and always? will be. The first album I found about him was 25 years ago of works by Chopin and it was great. After that I did piano career and I have not found anyone with this specific weight in the Romantic piano. It is a pity that he was not recognized until the end.

Only then can full potential of the music and interpretation come out when there is no longer the distraction of a physical limitation in the delivery. It's not just about learning and practicing the notes. Technique is a whole other category of development, and the performance is a byproduct of proper technique.

I may be looking at this differently than would a musician. I am drawing on my training as a teacher and military trainer. You seem to put a? lot of emphasis on trhe posture and movements of the entire body. It is almost like watching a gymnast or a fighter in training. It almost seems a dance. Fascinating.

Thank goodness someone is teaching down and OUT, not down and round or overbent. When this rider got on,? the horse had already been warmed up by JP if you listen...also, all the rider does is take up a contact....all well schooled horses know how to carry themselves...they don't have to be made to do it. This man teaches proper horsemanship.
