Laughed out loud... Anything over 1/2 a mil is just a waste of your life. love it. Hey... I've been playing about 16 years. I want to develop more speed & accuracy. I can play quarter notes at 120 bpm any time of the day. Anything above that and I start to have a lot of trouble with my 6th string. I've been trying to work with my metronome more and dedicate more time to just exercises, including just picking the 6th string. Any thoughts or? tips ?

@omgutt222 Whatever you choose mate the main point is to keep your hand relaxed.For example MAB jams his non pickining fingers on the scratchplate to give his a steady point of reference but? that-in most cases-creates more tension.A strategy that works for the majority is movement from the wrist,floating hand,and pick meets the strings at a 45 degree angle(ala paul gilbert).That works for most and provides tensionless(underline that) relaxed and fast playing.Go from there and see...

i think i heard Michael Angelo Batio talk about this, and he said to NOT move the fingers, just the wrist and elbow, or a combination, just not the fingers, because you would be limited to just those? movements of those fingers. but, i dont know. kind of confused right now...

This is a really great lesson cuz it says more than just 'practice this? scale slow and then use a metronome. ' Yea sure that does help, but it's the mindset, especially relaxing and such. Thanks buddy

How are you able to reduce pick noise when? picking leads?

I know I have bad picking form, I used to just flex my bicep and tricep in order to vibrate my forearm, I could pick quite fast, but I couldn't move off one string, now I'm getting better at not doing that so much at all, but I am just having trouble getting serious? speed otherwise.
