my spectrum analyzer is set to the exact same settings as your but it has alot more waves in the line to the right of the bass thump. any ideas on why? that is?

I use a similar technique for all of my kicks! I've responded to this with a song? of mine using entirely synthesized drums.

@CuddleOscar that's your velocity, under each note you will see you can drag up and down the volume of any given? note (or drum) fill-in. There is a Velocity lane below the sequencer indicating. Hope you've found this out by now!

so I draw in my bass drum pattern, but for some reason the notes are the color pink(making the bass softer? hitting) than the red ones....anybody have any clue why this is?
