Free: How to Learn the Guitar Chord and Play Music
Perhaps the most popular musical instrument today is the guitar. Guitars can be used in many music styles like pop, rock, blues, ballads, reggae, etc. It has gained a lot of popularity because it’s not a picky instrument. Inexperienced guitar players and even children can learn guitar playing easily.
You don’t have to be an expert in order to play a guitar. A little hard work and patience can help you go a long way in terms of guitar playing.
In order to master guitar playing, one should consider these three categories: technique, tools, and attitude. Techniques differ from one person to another, and this includes the approach when playing, the guitar type used, and the way the player strums.
A good guitar player should be disciplined, organized, and focused. And you should be serious with guitar playing if you want to be a successful guitar player.
If you want a sure guarantee in playing better guitar music, practice the chords. If you don’t know how to learn the chords, find someone who already knows because it’s rather hard to learn them all by yourself.
If someone can teach you to play the guitar, then you can learn easily because you both understand the ‘guitar language’ and both of you have the same interests. On the other hand, learning the chords can get complicated if you try to talk to someone who doesn’t know a single thing about guitar playing.
Once you find someone who can help you in learning the chords, then you will have little or no trouble at all. Like any language, music also contains phrases. You will know what these phrases are once you know the essential chord progressions. These essential chord progressions make music, so ask that ‘someone’ about chord progressions.
There are different progressions for jazz, rock, and blues. Once you play the progressions, in an instant, you’ll know what type of music you’re playing.
You should also know which chords can substitute another, and which cannot. For example: D minor chord can substitute an F major chord; A-minor chord is synonymous to C major chord.
After learning the chords, make sure that all chords will stay learned. You should know and understand the chord, and at the same time, you should know how to use it.
Practice makes perfect and if you can practice every now and then, you’ll be a good guitar player in no time at all.
Chord types produce different feelings; minor chords make you feel lonely or sad, and major chords give a feeling of content or gladness. By learning all the different chords, you can express all your feelings and ideas as well.
Learning guitar chords should not be a bore, you can learn easily and faster if you approach it with curiosity, fun, and commitment.
